As for the natives, we are enjoying our last evening alone together before we get to welcome Gabe back to the farm after what sounds like a Fantastic visit with his best friend. So while the "honeymoon" is coming to a close, we are confident that the spirit of the "honeymooners" will live on :).

Let Them Eat Grass
It's time for a brief update...
This morning we were delighted to find that our "Eggs in a Basket" has become "Babies in a Basket". Our bountiful fern is now the home of two, very sweet baby birds! I managed to grab a few pictures this morning (being very careful not to disturb the nest or to touch the nest or the babies). We haven't seen Mama bird, but judging from these healthy little ones, she must be staying close...
Our dear rooster, Joe, is thriving. He isn't exactly "in" with the ladies yet, but he's making some strides in that department. As you can see, he's a handsome devil ;).
The best news to report is that our little goat, Guss, is doing Beautifully! He's back to his happy self. We have taken both Guss and Finn completely off of grain and found that they both seem much happier and our doing a lot more foraging and grazing. It's the chickens and Joe who seem to be in "withdraw" from the Show Goat :).
Speaking of the ladies, they are also thriving and they are growing more beautiful (and more comical) by the day. Here's a pic of Summer posing for the camera.
